Idea Generation Competition

With all the colours and paints there was brought forward a new activity which required brainstorming with creativity, give your idea an expression in material form bring the fiction to reality for others to appreciate was what theme of our entrepreneurial week next activity, “idea generation”. Chart papers were taken out and minds were put on to work and the creative wheels turned and churned ideas pool. Although the events took a tiring toll one after another on the participants but were not able, lull the students away the enthusiasm. The winning Vishal opted to draw out the theme golden waste, using waste to earn and provide for unemployed segment. Organic waste to be separated from the electric waste, and then to be recycled later, and used as the whims of the entrepreneur. The other winner Lavesh on the other hand brought forward the distress faced by the middle segment population while in purchase of clothes. Development along with earning, empowering women, and producing in bulk with quality, and national distribution removing the barrier of intermediaries. Both the winners truly found an innovative way to resolve the problem

Rangoli Making Coopetition – Theme Innovating for India

Being an Indian, we are rooted to our culture. Wishful vibrant colours can best represent our diversity. The rangoli competition hence brought a cool breadth of air with it.  The arena was in wait and the participants were in full vigour to create an extra ordinary piece of art on the theme of the week innovating for India. Some were drawn towards traditional, few indulged in modern art skills and rest in coming up with a mixture of both. The wind carried the scent of perfumed colours with it. a group of participants took religious approach to create a picture of a true diverse India as one. The streams of colour in in different compositions and patterns filled the concrete floor of the institute. No longer the floor was plain grey but now stood as the portrait of art made with wild devotion.

Rangoli competition at the end that was completely unique with themes ranging from a flower vase, a large splash of colors on Religious equality, an array of colors showcasing the gregarious Power-Puff Girls and an extraordinarily done up peacock showcasing India's national Bird in all its splendour.

T-Shirt Painting Competition – Theme Innovating for India

The second half of the day had a flurry of excitement among the 30 students that were constantly in attendance. They made groups and painted white T-Shirts with wonderful ideas on Innovation, Green revolution, Change and Creativity. The entire faculty enjoyed this round of creativity by expressing their own opinions on the work.

T-shirt painting was a very indulgent affair. The theme of the activity was in its full colour. Participating students were in deep thoughts about what new to create. The designs ranged from the very popular scribbled handwriting to quotes, from simple handprint to a portrayal of urbanization in rural area with it development to eco-friendly concept with Edison bulb to linking sports with the theme of innovation. The students helped each other and were plainly enjoying the activity with music to add to their sense of creativity. The activity ended with the students wearing their work of art proudly and showcasing their creativity with zeal.

Session on Basics of B- Plan Writing

A session on Business Plan was conducted by Dr. Shubha Johari and students found it necessary, interesting and were the agreeable audience for the session. The session on B-plan went beyond discussing elements of a business plan. It encouraged students to explore the reasons for writing the business plan and the lay down a very practical roadmap on how to go about creating the business plan. After this initial discussion, various components of a business plans were individually explored.

While asked Students what were your take away’s from the session – students mentioned we have learnt why they are writing B Plans, realized they need to study couple of B Plans, Collect information, and put it down on paper, prepare rough draft, research work , number crunching and preparing final draft. Their various issues and doubts were resolved during this session.

Panel Discussion on the Theme – Innovating for India

The students who were present appreciated the proceedings and continued to attend and take note as the function proceeded into its next stage with a panel discussion headed by Prof. Bhavya Soni. Prof. Soni inspired the students with his youthful exuberance and gathered the applaud and thankfulness of all present.

Our student panel consisting of Mr. Lavesh Sharma, Ms. Garima Jhaver, Mr. Sidharth Bothra, Ms. Suchi Agarwal and Mr. Vipul Babbar gave stimulating and invigorating discourses on Innovation in India. They expressed pleasingly and kept the audience engaged with their arguments on the subject.

The panel discussion brought with it wave of idea from the bright future of India itself. The prospect of minds indulging at such activity opened a flood gate for innovation and helped in drawing a close picture of how the youth today portray the growth prospects and there role in India. All the panellists highlighted and defined innovation as per their perceptions. Vipul consistently quoted many examples of enterprise that fulfil criteria of innovation, he pointed that there must not be any job seekers rather job makers. While Suchi, gave an overall approach towards innovation in India. Siddhartha on the other hand simplified on the question “why innovation” why not use an already approached area then setting foot in unknown waters. Garima pointed out various fields in which innovation is prevalent and areas which are still to be tapped. Lavesh insisted that innovation remains a very nice topic to talk about but a scarce handful of people dare to venture into it. The moderator Mr Soni narrated a beautifully described story inculcating a thought that we are like seed, which require various ingredients from society, and environment to grow .and that within every individual lies an entrepreneur what we need is to bring it to the surface. He gave the message to each of the students to dream big and think high. He said, you all are limited edition and can bring around the change.

We at Jaipuria Jaipur began our entrepreneurship week journey with outreach programs. The students were quite enthused about the theme of E-week “Innovating for India”.

E- Week Inaugural Ceremony & Pledge

The day began in a sombre mood slowly building itself up into a buoyant cheer as the guests arrived. A very optimistic and cheerful Dr. Vidya Jain - Director of the Centre of Gandhian Studies; a youthful enthusiastic Prof. Bhavya Soni from R. A. Poddar Institute of Management and the high spirited Prof. S.P. Garg from our own Jaipuria Jaipur (celebrating his birthday) enlivened the introductory session for the Entrepreneurship Week - Abhyudaya 2014. 90 odd students graced the occasion with all our esteemed faculty and deans.

Vishal Sharma student of Jaipuria institute of management read the E-week pledge, and it was taken by all the members present along with him. The pledge inspired the students to be true and uphold the integrity of their professional life, to create value and job to help build entrepreneurial India.

Mr. Ujjwal Sharma started off the proceedings of the session with a brief introduction on the theme - Innovation in India. After the primary pleasantries a lot of ideas where exchanged on the theme. The theme as well as the week’s schedules and ideations were introduced by Dr. Abhijit Nair. Prof. S. P. Garg spoke of four aspects of personal development and the characteristics to be imbibed for any generation, current as well as otherwise to build a society that has an outlook of innovation. Dr. Swati Soni emphasized on looking internally within the country for development socially, economically as well as commercially.

                                                                                                                   

The Chief Guest Dr. Vidya Jain elaborated on the need to look at Gandhi - the simplicity of his ideas on inclusivity, technology and social development. She further mentioned that the youth of the country can look at the west and pick up their traits but yet absorb our great nation’s cultural integrity as well as its upright traditions and ideals. Instead of blindly copying the perceptions that are created of the western world she emphasized looking within and innovating customized solutions in accordance to our own varied social and economic order as well as needs. Dr. Sheenu Jain gave the vote of thanks.

 

The Chief Guest was presented with the memento which was prepared by a women entrepreneur from the waste material and it was wrapped in the artistic way in the newspaper.

Event 8: Visit to NGO  - Sakhi Bal Niketan & Amar Seva Samiti

Time: 05.00 PM – 06.00 PM

The Jaipuria Jaipur Parivartan- CSR team has long time back culminated the thought of organizing Anand Mela. They wanted to bring the smile on faces of kids. The student’s volunteers before bring that Joy wanted to really understand that what privileges some of such kids were missing in life………With this thought they visited Sakhi Bal Niketan and Amar Seva Samiti NGO. This visit as truly inspirational for them, and they all were tuned to the moment about how to bring about the change.

A Message from student after the visit from NGO to faculty members and Director Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur

Message by Deepak Middha………Student PGDM 2013-15

As you know that education is very important for everyone. Its a right of each and every human being to get education and we feel very proud and lucky that we are getting this.But there are some people who are not able to get it. Today we went to a NGO i.e., “SAKHI BAL NIKETAN AND AMAR SEVA SAMITI "in Malviya Nagar to make a request of sending some of their children to our college for our Anandmela event. They were happy to know about the concept of Anandmela and praised our college of taking such initiative.

They got ready to send their children but they make one request. They said that they don't want any money but what they want is education. They requested us to sent some of our students as a volunteers to teach their children. There are around 160 children.

So I request you if possible to send some of us to go in that NGO and teach them like our work in Goner.
