Day1: 2nd March, 2014
We at Jaipuria Jaipur began our entrepreneurship week journey with outreach programs. The students were quite enthused about the theme of E-week “Innovating for India”. They all unanimously felt that understanding problems at grass root level is fundamentally important to innovate. The young brigade of 43 students and Dr. S.K. Pandey along with CSR team member Mr. Prakash Sharma explored the day long visit to the field.
Event 1: Visit to Prathmic Vidhyalaya, Pratap Nagar (Kids Kindled)
Time: 10.30 AM – 11.15 AM
This is a nearby school to Jaipuria campus. This school is from class 1 to 5 standard. School was running on Sunday as well, as there was some ministerial visit scheduled in that area and some programs preparations were going on. We interacted with the teacher and the kids of this school. They come from nearby areas and their condition was very poor. School is lacking in basic facility like drinking water, drainage system, cleanliness, and hygiene, and toilets. Our students suggested the kids and school teacher to keep the school neat & clean with personal efforts.
The interaction was eye opener for most of our students. They realized what the comforts of life meant to them…are. And how much away these kids are from those comforts of life. A team of 3 students volunteered to create the difference in this school in the next 3 months and Dr. Pandey agreed that he will help them in providing full support from the institution.

Students also spend time talking to those 25 kids available in school on the day out of the strength of 79 students, on one on one basis. Where empty, minds were filled with ideas and nuances of entrepreneurship. Students of Prathmic Vidyalaya found the seeds of entrepreneurship sowed in their little brain.
