We at Jaipuria Jaipur began our entrepreneurship week journey with outreach programs. The students were quite enthused about the theme of E-week “Innovating for India”. They all unanimously felt that understanding problems at grass root level is fundamentally important to innovate. The young brigade of 43 students and Dr. S.K. Pandey along with CSR team member Mr. Prakash Sharma explored the day long visit to the field.
Event 5: Interaction with Micro Vendor – Mangi Ram Meena (Bada Padampura)
Time: 02.00 PM – 02.50 PM
Mangi Ram Meena’s sho is a famous name in Bada Padampura where visitors come on pilgrimage visit to Jain Mandir. They definitely drop by his shop to eat Mishri Mava and Moti Sev (Namkeen). He is operating his business of mishri-mawa since last 25 years. He is famous for his delicious mishri-mawa near Jaipur Rajasthan.
The student’s team learnt the nuances of producing the Mishri Mava and how he is living the tradition of running traditional business. He has over 20 plants in Padampura and he also sells his Mishri Mava Sweet to other states.
Student’s team applied all quality assurance, operation management, and marketing fundas on his business and gave him plenty of advice to make it more structured and profit oriented unit, while keeping the traditional sweet alive. In the end, they could not escape themselves from the eating of mouthwatering Mishri Mava.
